So you'd like to become a food vendor or trader ?
It’s pretty simple really. We want you, in your chosen field of culinary expertise, to do your take on the classic Yorkshire Pudding in whichever way you see fit for your menu. You could add signature spices or herbs into the batter, or stick to the traditional and fill it full of your delicious home cooked dishes. Yes that’s right, we want to see on your menu a selection of stuffed Yorkshire puddings with a variety of dishes from your menus. This could be curry, chilli, mini roast dinner, hot pot, burgers- you name it- we want to see it stuffed in a Yorkshire pudding!
We would also like to see some tantalising dessert options too, if this should take your fancy. Yes, Yorkshire puddings as desserts! Fill them with a selection of glorious puddings! Cheesecake? Yes! Trifle? Yes! Strawberries and ice-cream? YES!
Unfortunately, there are some restrictions to cooking on the day. We have been told by the venue that no one can actually cook in the building due to lack of ventilation and extraction. If you have a food van you are able to cook in, we can arrange for it to be parked outside. Of course there will be electricity to each pitch so you can bring equipment to heat and keep your food warm if you are inside. Bain-maries and other warming catering equipment are allowed. (If you are unsure please do not hesitate to ask and we can confirm if it meets Kirkgate Markets terms. There are also limited outdoor spaces.)
Each pitch size is 3m x 2m, and you can bring your own gazebo or we can supply these. We are supplying Gazebos and tables and if you require any of these please let us know at least 3 weeks before the event and we can arrange it for you. You must all have your own public liability insurance and all food standard certificates, along with any other licences that cater for a food festival. Alcohol must not be served on the day, but soft drinks are allowed. Full details and a booking form are at the bottom of this page.
Although the main attraction of the festival is the food, we are passionate about showcasing other things on offer from Yorkshire. And that is where you come in! We would love to have you there selling your goods at a stall. There is a very limited number of stalls available so if you are interested please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Cancellation and refund policy:
Please note all balances must be paid in full to reserve your space.
Cancellations up until the 1st November you will receive 75% of your booking fee back.
Cancellations from the 2nd November till the 1st December you will receive 50% of your booking fee back.
Cancellations from the 2nd December till the 1st January you will receive 25% of your booking fee back.
Any cancellations beyond the 1st January are not subject to a refund.
